In 2009, Neil left Princebuild to work for Axiom Housing Association as the surveyor for the northern region then later joined Baxter & King Limited in Market Deeping as a Project Manager until 2012 when he made the decision to use all the experience acquired & skills learned previously to set up Halo Building Services Ltd.

Angela Philipson

Admin/Account assistant

I am the newest member of the Halo team having joined in December 2017.  My role includes office administration and processing of all supplier, customer invoices and payments.  I support both Sally and Neil when required which provides me with opportunities to get more involved with the projects, of which I enjoy seeing the before and after results of what we deliver to the clients.

On the projects that Halo deliver I carry out the labouring duties for the tradesmen from keeping the site tidy, making cement, to knocking down walls and installing steel RSJ’s.  I make sure that if the tradesmen need further supplies that aren’t already on site I liaise with Sally to find out where the closest supplier is to collect them from, this ensures that the tradesmen can continue to work and keeps us on schedule with the programme of works.  Resulting in delivery of the project in the quickest time possible.

Sally Riley

Project Co-ordinator

I started working in Halo as the admin/accounts assistant.  My role has now changed to working with Neil helping to co-ordinate the delivery of projects, dealing with suppliers and tradesmen, and liaising with clients regarding their requirements.  I’ve found my new role to be vary varied and at times challenging but the reward is always knowing that I’m helping to deliver to our clients something that they are going to appreciate and enjoy.

Mr A, Hempsted Green

"Using HALO Building Services took the strain out of project managing and organising multiple trades for my self-build house and allowed me the time to focus on cashflow, interior design and landscaping. HALO transformed a daunting task into a pleasurable experience. HALO were recommended to me by my timber frame contractor and soon proved they had local knowledge and contacts in all areas of the building industry and Building Control. They initiated design solutions, forged new relationships with 3rd party suppliers, liaised with the land developers, civil contractors, local Council and Utility Suppliers to ensure the works were carried out"

Mr & Mrs S, Eye

"Until I discovered Halo Building Services on this site, I hadn't considered using a 'Project Manager' for this job. Having done so, I was generally very pleased with the outcome. The tradesmen Neil hired were up to a good standard and when one failed to do his work to the right standard, someone else was quickly engaged to put it right! Financially it worked out well with many areas done without the need for VAT. All costs and invoices were dealt with in a very efficient way and at each stage, you could see what the financial position was. The"

Mr & Mrs H, Netherton

"In 2016 we had a major house renovation overseen by Neil Aylin of Halo Building Services.  We were very pleased with the way he handled the whole project and would thoroughly recommend his work. Neil had all the contacts needed and managed the whole project through from start to finish.  At the beginning he talked the project through with us, costed it and then organised all the work and co-ordinated the provision of the right trades at the right time.  He visited the site every day and was always at the end of the phone if we had any queries."

Mr & Mrs C, Lutton

"We engaged Neil Aylin of Halo Building Services to manage the removal of an existing single storey extension / conservatory and replace it with a larger one. Halo were engaged on another project in the same road, so this gave us the opportunity to do some homework before engaging Neil and team. The flexibility of using a Project Manager meant that the job could evolve as it progressed to give us the outcome that we wanted. As the various trades were scheduled, we could discuss our exact requirements with Neil who could source the tradesman with the skills most suited"
